The Bethlehem Area School District supports comprehensive services to assist in overcoming barriers to learning. One of these services is called Student Assistance Program or SAP. While SAP services typically address drug and alcohol issues, SAP is designed to identify all issues that pose a barrier to a studentÕs success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) is to help students overcome these barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance. Core teams, composed of administrators, faculty members, guidance counselors, school nurses, and the school psychologist are being organized at all schools.
