Hours Open to CS Students Varies; usually in the summer and fall for yard work. Vacation Bible School usually in July (must have clearances to work with children), Community Day in August. Other opportunities as they arise.

Minimum Age: 14 for working with children, 16 for certain lawn equipment
Description of Opportunities Varies. Yard work can include mowing, weed pulling, spraying for weeds, raking leaves. Office help (only during office hours) can include stapling and folding bulletins, making copies, stuffing envelopes. Other indoor help (only during office hours) can include straightening out pew materials, going through the children's activity bags. Musical opportunities can include performing during worship and/or providing music in worship (under the direction of the Music Ministry). Summer Events may involve working with children, usually leading them in games or activities; musicians may be needed for Vacation Bible School.
Minimum Time per Shift 1 hour to 3 hours depending on job

Supervision Provided By: Varies, depending on job. All volunteers at St. Mark's who work with children and youth have received clearances as per our Safe Church Policy.
Training/Orientation: Time would be set aside to train/orient prior to having the volunteer carry out any duties. That time would vary depending on the job/event.
