Description of Opportunities Ambulatory Surgical Center, Filing/Clerical work, Gift Shop attendant, GI Labs, Greeter/escort, Patient Access Center, Pharmacy Assistant, Pre-Admission Testing, Nurse Assistant, Voluteer escort. More information available from the Volunteer Service Coordinator or at
Minimum Time per Shift 3 hours.
Dress Required: Uniform shirt provided, dress pants, socks, sneakers

Training/Orientation: The assignment determines the type of training. Example: nursing unit students are trained by nursing staff. Escorts are trained by volunteer personnel. All students are interviewed prior to being accepted. Summer orientation scheduled in May; fall orientation scheduled in September, and spring orientation scheduled in January. Orientation is mandatory and additional training will be scheduled as needed. All volunteers must complete a minimum of 60 hours with no more than two absences per summer, fall or spring session.

  • Additional Information: Hospital volunteer work does not lend itself to short-term assignments. We require a minimum of sixty (60) hours community service with the understanding that students may be assigned to more than one area, if they desire and meet qualifications. Hours will not be submitted to the school or other organizations until the 60 hour minimum has been completed. The application form is available on website.
