Backpack Pals Program Needs Your Vote!

For many families in the Lehigh Valley, feeding their children
nutritious food is a difficult task. Families across the Lehigh Valley
often resort to the free and reduced lunches offered by their children's
schools in order to ensure their child receives a proper meal each and
every day. However, when weekends or holidays come, many find themselves
searching for a means to provide their child a healthy meal. In fact,
over 53% of students in the Bethlehem and Easton areas qualify for free
or reduce lunch as of 2015. Backpack Pals, an initiative started by
Nikki Testa of Bethlehem, PA, has stepped in to fill the void. The
Backpack Pals Program has partnered with Lehigh Valley Area school
districts in order to provide students with the meals they need to
maintain a healthy lifestyle. With a donation from Athletes C.A.R.E. as
a result of the All-Or-Nothing Campaign, Backpack Pals will be able to
feed hundreds of children in need this year. Join the Lafayette College
Branch in the fight against Childhood Hunger. No child should go hungry.

Please take a moment to vote for our program! The benefactor who
receives the most votes between February 11, 2016 and February 25, 2016
will be entitled to the funds raised during the 45-day All-Or-Nothing
Campaign. This year's goal is $2,750. *VOTERS: You are free to place ONE
vote per day."

Monies donated will be used to purchase food and hygiene
items for students in the Bethlehem Area School district who otherwise
may not have food to eat, over a long 3-day weekend. And a huge thank
you to Lafayette College for getting involved with this very important
program!! https://www.facebook.com/backpackpalspa/ and
