  IT Support Technologist

 
     
   

Location: Freedom IT Department
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

   

This position supports district users and technology by installing, configuring, updating, troubleshooting, and maintaining technology systems and related services.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provides phone support and onsite support for district IT resources, including hardware, software, and district applications and systems.
2. Provides basic and advanced support for Chrome OS, Windows, MAC OS, Android, and iOS devices.
3. Supports everyday technical issues including, but not limited to: passwords, email, hardware, software, printing, desktop IP telephones, and connectivity/Internet problems (wired, wireless, LAN).
4. Provides onsite School Board meeting and event setup, support, and teardown of IT equipment, includes after hours onsite support coverage. (about 3 Monday nights a year)

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in an information technology or related field preferred or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience required.
2. Experience in the use, configuration, and troubleshooting of various information technologies including (but not limited to): computer hardware, Chromebooks, software, servers, networking, digital and IP phones, digital projectors, printers, and other district technology is required.
3. Experience in Microsoft Office, Windows, MAC, and Chrome is required.
4. CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.
