Program Rationale:
For those ninth graders who have been chosen to or have chosen to attend the 9th grade Vo-Tech. Preparation Program here at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School, this course is one of the four academic courses required. (English, Civics, Science, and Transitional Mathematics)
This 9th grade English curriculum/ course has been designed with the future of these students specifically in mind. It is practical, challenging, and yet well-rounded in its content. The course is primarily project-based and integrated with real-world / and vocational applications as well-as team taught and integrated with the Civics course. There is still a 9th grade, modified B.A.S.D. portfolio requred of these students as well-as the 25 book credits of reading requred.
