Bethlehem Area School District Strategy Team Projects
The Strategy Team process was a key component of the ProjecTELL Grant. It provided an opportunity for teachers and teacher assistants to apply the learning from their 15 credits of course work focused on English Language Learners to the classroom, home school and local community. Over 15 teams were able to implement Strategy Team projects during the grant despite the fact that they faced rigorous demands of concurrently taking 15 credits over an 18 month period, with all the corresponding research, homework, outside reading, preparation of reports and projects, in addition to family and personal responsibilities.

I offer the following brief descriptions of their work and invite visitors to contact the Strategy Team project’s coordinator as a resource for additional information, or as the first step in considering a replication or adaptation of the project presented. As Strategy Team Coordinator for ProjecTELL, it has been a privilege and continued learning experience to work with the dedicated and committed group of education professionals in the Bethlehem Area School District. I encourage you to consider contacting the specific team coordinators for additional information, or to consider sharing your own projects, lesson plans, strategies and techniques, etc. on this site to the ultimate benefit of all students and colleagues and especially the English Language Learners ProjecTELL is dedicated to serving.

Respectfully submitted,
Stanley J. Nowak Jr., Ph.D., ProjectTELL Strategy Team Coordinator
