The Child Care Program is getting prepared to open the 2017-2018 school year at thirteen elementary schools. All sites will be open on Monday, August 28, 2017, the first day of school. Each day all sites are open from 6:15-9:00am and 3:30-6:15pm. Breakfast is available for purchase. It is very important for the child care staff to know what date and at what times your child will be attending for the 2017-2018 year. Please, be prepared to:
In addition to informing us about all changes in your child's schedule, it is also most important for you to inform your child's classroom teacher. On the first day of school, please give your child's child care schedule to her/his classroom teacher. The safety and well being of our children is of utmost importance to all of us. Early in the school year, you will also have the opportunity to update the information on your child's Emergency Card. This information is very important. If you have any changes, please ask a staff person to assist you.
There is always a great deal of information to share with you. A new Parent Handbook will be distributed in the near future. It is imperative that you read and thoroughly understand the contents of the handbook. You are responsible for this information. A staff person will be happy to answer any of your questions.
In addition, every center is scheduling an "Open House" Information Get-together. Details about the date and time can be found in the enclosed center letter. You are strongly encouraged to attend especially if your child is new to child care. We ask that you carefully read the information in this memorandum, and if you have any questions, please contact the Center Supervisor at your child's center or call the Child Care Program Office at 610-868-8501.
