Fund Descriptions

George B. Yasso Memorial Fund
The George B. Yasso memorial fund offers five (5) annual $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors through an annual application process. Application forms are available through the guidance offices at Liberty, Freedom and Bethlehem Catholic high schools. All applications are reviewed by the Yasso family and award winners are notified close to graduation.

Thomas Doluisio Scholarship
$500 award for a graduating senior from Freedom and Liberty High Schools. Application processthrough the Guidance Department.

William Burkhardt Scholarship
Application with Liberty Guidance Department - $500 annual graduation award

Lincoln School Scholarship
Award presented to a noteworthy graduating senior who attended Lincoln Elementary School. Application through the principal's office at Lincoln Elementary.

Arts and Instrumental Grants
A designated fund to support arts enrichmentwithin the Bethhlehem Area School District. Requests for grants is communicated to the appopriate staff within the district.

***The Bethlehem Area Education Foundation has a policy to award scholarship amounts to the institution of higher learning (college, university or trade school) through the recipient's personal bursar account. No checks are written to the student/individual. Students may be asked to provide the name of their educational institution, address and bursar account information following notice of award so that their account may be credited with their scholarship award amount.
